Fifth Sunday of Lent 2025 – Go and sin no more
Let us look now at one important person in this story. He is the only one without sin. Jesus, the letter to the Hebrews, says we read, For we have a high priest, Jesus, who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way like us, yet he was without sin. Let us look at Jesus in the scene.
Jesus does not deny the woman’s sin. Jesus did not call at all, turning his eyes. Okay, fine. All fine. It’s your choice. No problem. Don’t worry. All is fine. Jesus was so clear about his statement. Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? Jesus said, Neither do I condemn you. Go. But from now on, do not sin anymore.
