To The Greater Glory Of God
“The Gospel today is complicated one. I read it so often and so it is written after Palm Sunday the last public speech of Jesus. One word that is significant to this text is about glorify or glorification. In the Jesuit tradition where I come from, one of the phrases ‘Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam’ – All For The Greater Honor of God. And when we act as patient people, I think this is to the greater glory of God. What is wonderful in our faith that it is not all about us. What the new testament refers to that God became a man, death and resurrection, that God glorifies Himself. It’s not me and you to put Jesus on top because God already did everything. So God provides His own Glory, we do not have to to it but we can just add what is in our power capability.” – Rev. Fr. Christoph Soyer, SJ
