What Do You See When You Look At the Cross?

Reflection on Good Friday.

“When I look at the cross, my reaction is life is unfair. People are unfair. When I look at the cross I see so much evil and sin. What do you see when you look at the cross? When I look at the cross I see the brutality and violence. What do you see when you look at the cross? Do you only see pain and suffering? or Do you also see beyond that. Beyond those realities. Because when I look at the cross I do not see only pain, suffering and death. I also see the love and the goodness of that Son of God on the cross. ” – Father Francis
